This comet thing isn't easy. I tried to photoshop stack the two images which DSS failed to combine to freeze both the comet and the stars. Kinda worked.
Sadly no tail in my images.

It was more a game of luck to get this. The first day I finally got a cloud free night and the comet was directly under the SCP. I couldn't (or haven't figured out) how to guide on it or even point at it so I just dropped my latitude adjustment on the mount.

Photo ended up being 500 5 second subs

Processing a comet is surprisingly hard too...

Anyway here's my lame attempt hope someone likes it.

well done - you have a greeen glob - just like me LOL. great effort and determination shown there, focus might have been off slightly on the stars - or was that the stacking process? It impressed me!!!

Neither unfortunately. I get rather bad coma even with a corrector installed due to the SLR, incorrect spacing between my camera and the corrector, and a somewhat floppy mirror. But in this picture it was also due to the fact that tracking was turned off because I had a brain meltdown, the stars are elongated and somewhat blurry due to the 5 second exposure.

Yep, I like it Chris, that result is nice, the coma is awesome And I can see a bit of both tails going up about 11:30 !
Well done !

Nothing wrong with that, got a little bit of tail detail, great work for 5s exposures.
