Hi all
Just after midnight in Adelaide with reasonable seeing 6/10. I seem to have trouble processing this batch as the white, featurless STZ was burnt out and I needed to reduce contrast and brightness a lot which made detail in other areas suffer. Maybe gain was too high in the capture. Hard to judge on the laptop screen.

10fps 1/25 sec gamma 20% saturation 90% gain 40% - about 400 frames

Is there supposed to be a standard convention for image orientation in these posts?

Graeme

Nice shot Graeme. I see you have some of the dreaded onion rings. Maybe try upping the gamma a bit during capture. This will often (not always) take care of them

As for orientation of Jupiter, I'm interested in that question as well. I started a thread here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=10290)and I'd appreciate any imput you have toward the discussion.

Nice one Graeme,

Doesn't look burnt out to me, quite a heap of detail there.

Very nice shot Graeme. I like the colour.

South is at the top in your photograph, but I don't think it matters really, most prefer to see it as you have posted it seems.

Hi Graeme, you've got it up the way I prefer... as Asi says don't s'pose it really matters unless your submitting images to the ALPO jupiter section or something like that. Great detail, great shot!:)
