Okay, nothing to jump up and down about but its an image. Seeing seems to be constant at 2-4/10 for the last 14 days.

This shot =5fps gamma=30% gain=25% shutter=1/10. These settings give me a smooth low grain image compared to gain at 50% and more.

Nice image lester, but looks a little dark on my screen.

Could be you need a little more gain and gamma or perhaps a little "brightening" during processing?

But nice shot:thumbsup:

Thanks Matt,

See if this one is brighter. When I transfer the image from laptop to desktop image appears more green on desktop. How do I know which monitor is showing me the correct colour.

I often read about callibrating screens but have never done it myself.

You could check the amount of green in your image by clicking the histogram tab in registax at wavelets and make adjustments there. You can also adjust brightness and contrast at the same time.

Hope that helps:)

Hey Lester, you're using the Neximage aren't you? I found I could never run the high gains (eg 50% etc) that the Toucam brigade were using on the Neximage either - just too grainy. The Phillips 900nc I have now I can run 50-60% gain without excessive grain. One thing I've found is that I used to run the slower exposure times of 1/10th a sec with the neximage because I couldn't push up the gain. I now run 1/25th or 1/33rd sec exposures on the 900nc with the higher gains - found I get a lot less trouble with onion rings too with the shorter exposure and higher gain.

Anyway, great show, especially for that seeing.

cheers,

Lester

Thanks Robert,

I agree with what you have said. Asi's toucam settings are always different to mine= faster shutter speed and more gain. Can't wait for the 900nc to turn up.

Yeah, it's ok I guess, too much blue, too grainy, not good enough seeing, out of collimation, captured too long, wrong settings....apart from that....Superb!!

Well done!
