Sigh. Just stunning John.
Love the relentless 40min subs. My eye keeps wanting to see more around the right and bottom sides of Rosette, but my brain knows you've captured the best parts of the field :)

Err, WOW!!!

Never knew there was that much going on around the rosette.

Mind blowing John!

Cheers,

Justin.

Great image John. Love the super sharp stars and the textures in the nebulosity. It's interesting to see how asymmetrical the outer edges are and the large extension at top.

Outstanding John!  Very deep & detailed! Beautiful!

Cheers, Marcus

BTW, it's Rosette, not Rosetta.

Gee that's good. So deep and sharp and detailed.

Do you think your OS RH200 will match this or even do better? It'll get there a lot faster but do you think it will match the resolution/detail?

Greg.

Sub-zero cool. You're going to join with the cone nebula?

Most likely no. Other things to do around the Gum complex.

Thank you Larry!

Thank you Allan!

LOL, my bad.

Thank you! Long and many exposures help to bring out the detail. I could actually push the image a little more.

Thank you Justin. Lots of gas and dust in this area. This just hints at what is there.

Yes indeed. You have to go a little further south, below the Rosette to find a few more interesting objects.

Shame. It's just on the left edge of your field at the top due north.

Wow that's deep, a great effort indeed! A colour version would be spectacular.
