Hi everyone,

I have been doing amateur photography for about 6 months now with my Canon 7D and I would like to move into the realm of astrophotography. I've recently seen on Youtube a man called Forrest Tanaka showing an adapter for the Canon lens mount so you can put the camera in the barrel of a telescope. Here is the link to the website he suggests buying from:

www.telescopeadapters.com

Can anyone suggest what I should get exactly? I would like to be 100% certain before I get something. Ill be using it in my friends dobsonian telescope. If anyone has any pointers, I would love to hear your advice!

Cheers!! :)

Welcome aboard!

What objects are you hoping to photograph?

Hi Peter,

Well I'm thinking of first doing moon, planets and then as my knowledge and equipment increases move into deep space. There is just so much to learn when you first start to investigate the world of astrophotography! But it will be rewarding no doubt.
