Cloud Magnet!

Hi All,
picked up my 12 inch Lightbridge on saturday from Bintel in Melb,no sooner had i put everything together,every cloud around moved in directly overhead!!Lol..Was in melb visiting for two days only but decided to try her out before leaving,not to be...i was warned!! No matter,just looking at the scope fully assembled was worth it,it's a beauty!..and BIG!! Pictures don't do it justice but i'll post some at a later date,can't wait to see what the views will be like....sincere thanx to Bintel in melb.

:) Look forward to the photos Ian , great scope and welcome , when the clouds dissapare and you get to use it ( new scope curse ) , just dont forget good columination and a bit of time for the glass to acclimatise when you first get it outside .

You need to reverse the polarity on your scope to dispell them. Can't quite remember where they hide the little switch that does it ... if you find it let me know. :D

I see you are just 100km over the hills from me, Ian. Which explains it - it's a combination of your new lightbridge and my new Losmandy G11. Clouds every night during this new moon week. And more to come.

Well Jon, he's 93klms from me so we can work out where he is by drawing the correct radius arc around our locations onto a map and look for the intersecting points, or we can just look out for big looming cloudmass hanging in the one spot for days. :thumbsup:

Congrats on your new scope Ian! I might be able to drop by sometime with some Vixen LVWs and LV you can try out before forking out the $$$$.

Don't feel too bad about the clouds Ian, I am just about to head home to the mountains with the 1880 Berry& Mackay Refractor and have also just collected my Takahashi TSA120 from Pack&Send in Canberra so I am sure the clouds will get confused about who they should harass.

Actually I am keen to see the 12" LightBucket through my glorious LVW 13mm and 17mm EPs.
