Dob Advice

Hello All
Can anyone tell me if there would be any advantage in getting a f6 over a f5 8 inch dob, I only look at planets.

Hi Graeme, not a great deal of difference between them. The f5 will be fractionally shorter and maybe fit in your car a bit easier if necessary but the f6 will give slightly higher magnification with any Eyepiece. Planets need magnification apparently so for your purposes if all things are equal re quality of build etc then the f6 is your best bet.

Thanks Brent i was think the f6 would suit me fine, as far as fitting in the car well that wont happen very dark skies here so no need to move around to view anything :D
