G'Day All,
Can anyone tell me were I can get a EQ6 adoptor plate for a pier in Australia.
I have a drawing from Palm Tech in Queensland who also say they can supply them but making contact with them is impossible. To have one made by any local engneening firm will cost about $600 .
Any ifo will be great

Can you clarify what it is you are looking for?
You could use the top part of the half-pier extension. A$135.

G"Day Mate ,
I am looking for adopter plate that will allow me to mount the eq6 to the pier.I am at the present using the base of the eq6 tripod (legs removed) but their is a lot of movement. You can buy these adopter plates in England but you would thing someone in Australia would be making them or importing them.

You can take the half-pier apart (just looked at mine) and use the top portion for directly mounting onto your pier (or build an adapter) http://www.astroshop.com.au/products/details.asp?id=MAS-030N
One made specifically for your task: http://www.altairastro.com/product.php?productid=16169&cat=275&page=1

Richard,
I am in contact with Sam Jamieson of Astronomia London they don't have any in stock but they will let me know when they come and I will pass it on to you. The cost will be about 127 English pounds or $A192 that includes postage to Australia.

Ian, why not use the top part of the Skywatcher pier extension? That's what I did, it unbolts readily.
I bought the extension 2nd hand here on IIS for about $60 and used it as shown in this thread:

Cheers,
Jason.
