It seems a bit of a tradition for photographers to compile their ‘best’ or ‘favourite’ photos in a calendar year. I'm a few weeks late, but I figured now is a good time to put together my ‘best’ photos from 2012.
It’s no surprise that most of them are from the Kimberley’s. It was such a memorable trip and it gave me the opportunity to photograph landscapes and skies that I’ve only ever dreamed about.
I had real trouble narrowing the list from 20 down to just 10, so here I present my favourite 13 images published in 2012.

Thanks for looking.

I'd certainly be happy with those, a nice way to remember 2012
Hi Mike,
A wonderful selection!
It is funny how one photo acted as a gateway to the others, namely, the winning shot that got you the Kimberley trip then enabled the
opportunity to take many of the others. A metaphor for how life sometimes goes.

What an awesome collection of images for 2012, well done Mike!
I love them all but my 2 favourites are 'Afternoon Delight' and 'East Beach Sunrise' and 'Ancient Arches' and 'Boag in Twilight' and ... hmm I seem to be having a similar problem :)

Thanks Adam, much appreciated.
Many thanks Gary - and you're right, it's funny how these things work out.
Now the challenge is keeping it up - without an all expenses paid trip to a remote part of the world with stunning scenery and dark skies, how am I going to keep the momentum up in 2013? :)
Thanks Graham! Hopefully I can work with Astrovisuals to do my own calendar for next year. That's the goal, but we'll see if I can get it to work out.
haha thanks, it's so hard to narrow them down :)

Lovely stuff.
I can't get the buy fine print section to work once I choose different options though.

Thanks Peter.
I just tried it and it's working for me?
When a matte and frame are selected, you see a price and the 'add to cart' button.
If you 'deselect' one of those options, then the price and 'add to cart' button goes away.
