View Full Version here: : Hottest day ever at Sydney Observatory 45.8C
It reached 45.8C at Sydney Observatory at 14:55 which will almost certainly
be the highest temperature ever recorded there since the colony began.
The previous record was 45.3C.

Yeah it really feels like it too, I just went for a bit of a walk up the road, had to experience it for myself, but I'm glad I'm back in air-con now!

I'll admit it is not in a proper Stevenson screen, but my weather station reported 47.6 at 14:45.

It doesn't feel as bad here as the last heatwave because there is less wind. The last one felt like living in a fan-forced oven.
At the moment the cold front looks to be a long way off - it's still 44 at Batemans Bay - but the cloud is building up and hopefully there will be a storm soon :prey:.
