I'm picking up my new Canon 60Da tomorrow...very excited :P
I'm just wondering what lens would be great for nightscape shot's, either on the camera tripod or piggybacked on the scope, and also be good for normal daytime shots of the kids etc. (Using auto/custom WB)
....or should I be looking at two lenses
Thanks

2 lenses.
Nightscapes require wide lenses. But, they also have to be fast (f/2.8 or faster).
As the 60Da is a crop (1.6x) sensor, I'm not sure which Canon lens would be wide enough for nightscapes. Perhaps the 10-22mm, which is approximately equivalent to the 17-40mm on the 35mm sensor.
The 24-105mm f/4L IS USM can't be beat for a general purpose lens.

There are lots of happy Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 nightscape users out there.

On a crop sensor, I'd get the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 for nightscapes and like H said, a good all-purpose is the 24-105.

Agree, don't get the Canon 10-22 of the Sigma 10-20 as they are nowhere near as good as the Tamron.
EDIT: Ahhh! I meant Tokina NOT Tamron!!!

I've heard good reports about the Tokina, as well. :)
A colleague at work has one for his Nikons and is happy with it, too.
