Today I had five locust encounters- in the same 12 hours. Now considering I am in Southern Tassie, (that bit before you get wet in the Derwent) and considering I haven't seen this in ten years of living here.
I guess- strong winds have bought them here, and dry hot weather has kept them here. Freaky though, wake up with one in the breakfast cereal, and pack your scopes up and see one crawling down the guider cable.
