.... I have... a poopy T-Ring! When all my gear is connected up, I can wobble my camera... only a millimetre or two... so the gap is between the T-Ring and the Camera body... anyone else had this? how can I resolve the issue without buying a new $30-$40 dollar part :/

I have a spare T ring you can have for postage. It's for a Canon.
PM me, and we can arrange something. Maybe it'll work better, maybe not.

Mine did the same thing. The adapter ring is made of two pieces. I just ran a bead or super glue along the join. Problem solved. Just glue the top you dont want to get glue on the internal thread.

Look closely around the edge of the T-ring. Are there three little holes for screws? All the T-rings I've used are actually two separate pieces, which can be separated by undoing the screws using a small Allen key. It took me aaages to figure out that you could tighten them up too...

Sorry I was a bit vague in my reply. My t mount adapter ring has the side screws missing and I could not find any screws small enough to replace them so glue was my only option. The adapter ring is made in two pieces to reduce manufacturing costs, the inside part is standard t mount thread and they fit the outer part to suit the camera make and model. I just used glue to stop the inner and outer parts moving because of the missing screws. I used superglue because it is thin and you dont need much. Everything that needs to come apart still does.

Paid $5 for one off ebay, much better then the one i grabbed from bintel as it doesn't have that loose ring and micro grub screws that just don't work for long lol. It was made of mild steel or some alloy mix though it weighs about 40grams more which i think i can live with lol. The bintel one was fine though till it dropped onto the cement in the dark from about 1m, i think the grub screw are the really the only fault. You can tighten them but mine just kept coming loose again :(

Loctite.
I loctite ALL my T rings if using the 2 inch tube (I currently use Vixen Wide, so no need for the inner ring). NEVER had a problem of any grub screws loosening, and loctite is better and stronger than superglue. I use automotive permanent, and believe me, it is NOT coming off short of soaking in acetone.
