http://www.cameraaction.com.au/products4.asp?sku=160969&dept=18 and a conversion from
http://www.burren.cx/photo/ir_conversions.html equals a cheaper way of getting a modded DSLR for astroimaging. Totoal cost less than $1500 AUS, and everything here in australia. Unfortunately David Burren is out of the country at the moment but will return the week before the June long weekend. There is a possibility I could have this before Queensland Astrofest.

Originally I was going to get Robbie fix up the camera I currently have ( 300D), then I thought about getting David Burren to put a new filter glass in giving me a clearer screen on this camera. Now thinking about it, I might go the whole hog and get a modded 350D. This seems to be a far cheaper option than getting the Hutech modified camera. Now my question is would there be any difference between the cameras?:D

Probably not houghy...does he do the mod with the UV/IR blocking filter instead of the clear.

The only difference I can see may be possibly the quality of glass he puts in and only the 6 month warranty...but it sounds good....go for it.
