Man Ive missed some great LightShows out West last days !
These captures from Last Weds from Beaudessert, I was on the Eastern side, the cell directly approaching ! Lucky the rain was behind the storm ! The images were very noisy as exposures were ISO 400 which I thought was needed to try pick up some ground light, warm temps and 1min exposures, so some detail has been lossed !

Hope it worth a Sqizz ! mmm, why arent these Photbucket links showing the image like they used to ? sorry for any inconvenience !

Great pics, I got pics down here same night different cell.But to my west I saw sheet lightning perhaps the one that went your way/

Very nice, Bob!! I was at the Leyburn observing site on the Wed night - some of those strikes were a little too close for comfort. The Thurs night storm seemed even more fierce hence why I bolted home :)

Yep, a total ball jjj, Very addictive passtime for some of us eh !

Seen your awesome captures Dave, very heroic of you by the looks :D was 2 or 3 massive lightshows out Leyburn way I missed, would have loved being in your shoes !
Yep Sat Night went OOOFFFF I hear, no rain with it and Leyburn'ites just sitting in the middle of the paddock watching & photo'ing for over an hour :rolleyes: Must hunt them down so they can reviel all !

Yes, I'd very much love to see those photos too! Would be a great sight with the lightning bolts above the observatories.
