Took a total of 56 mins 27 seconds of NGC 3324 and surrounds last night. Stacked in DSS, processed in PS 5.1

Vixen FL102S refractor at f/9.2
Canon 5D MkII - non-modded, not cooled
ISO 500
11 x 5 min subs, with one sub needing to be cut short due cloud
Skywatcher NEQ6 mount with Orion Starshoot autoguider, refreshing at 0.2s

Want at least another 2 hours on this target, and then use it to build an entire Eta Carinae complex mosaic. Just look at how much Ha is TRYING to come through! Must finally take some Ha images to add to this one.

A seemingly seldom imaged region of Carina, and it's literally part of the famous NGC 3372.

Tak probably wouldn't be any different.
Very nice image. I think you have a bit of sag or tilt going on as right side is sharper focus than left side. 5D11 is a little weighty and may be putting pressure on the adapters.

Greg.

Greg,

There was - the GSO adaptor actually let go at one point (I posted about this in general chat). I am going to have to use a custom adaptor, unless the forthcoming FR and FF will give me the focal length required.

I have ditched the GSO extension tubes (they had been problematic since day 1, and just are out of whack with Vixen step downs and even were a problem with SW for me too). Reordered a Vixen 60mm extension from Steve Massey. That'll solve the issue entirely - those Vixen threads hold securely that's for sure!
