My family has a house on the "Ridge" in Florida (the high point of the state but still not very high)...

Whenever they do a "night" launch from the Cape you can see the fireball from the back yard...it is really cool to watch the rockets go up!!!

It has been a long time coming...Godspeed all involved!

I went to Kennedy space centre twice in three years and the launch was canceled both times  the second time with only two hours to launch.
To say I was cheesed of would be an understatment:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

I wish like crazy to be going up there with them.
By the time there's a regular shuttle service to Out There, I'll be either too old or dead.
I guess one should be grateful to have been around to witness Man's achievements so far with space travel. Previous generations could only dream about what we concider routine missions.

Make sure you give it away AFTER the ride on the space shuttle. I'm sure you could sneak it into the cargo bay for some unobstructed, pollution free observing while you were up there.

:stargaze: :anaut: :earth: :astron:
