Here are the Southern Pointers and Southern Cross rising (up side down, bottom right). Carina features in the center with its various nebula and clusters...
Taken at @f/3.5 at ISO6400 and 15x6s shots. Processed with DeepSkyStacker, images dark subtracted within camera.

Very nice image, some detail really starting to show, you may be suprised at the results if you stacked say 50 x 20 sec subs in DeepSkyStacker.

:DNice,
Just wondering why your photos aren't really that noisy, because you have it on very high iso.
Your getting amazing detail with a stock lens. Just wondering for the LMC - SMC shot what focal length did you use ?
Great to see many of us taking nice shots with simple equipment on a tripod.
Cheers

Hi Orestis,
On my Canon 1100D, there is the following under the "Custom Functions" setting:
- Long exp. noise reduction => set to On
- High ISO speed noise reduction => set to 0: Standard
To achieve f/3.5, I used auto focus on a distant light and locked to manual for the shots.
Cheers,
Stacy.

Have you got an uncompressed version of that photo?
You may be able to spot the comet in the middle of the Southern Cross.
