This will pass earth at a few millions kilometres on Thursday....the question is does anyone know about it....it can be seen from the naked eye apparently...does anyone know where to look to see it and perhaps snap it....?
The same asteroid will pass at 30,000km in about 2036...now that's going to be good....

I thought that thread was about 2012 DA14...?

Also, according to wikipedia (sorry...), Apophis will peak at apparent magnitude 15.7 on 9/1/2013 so it won't be visible to the naked eye.
According to the same source it should be naked eye visible during the 2029 closest approach.

Yeah, I was hoping to spot it with my scope....but it might be too far away, let alone find it :)
