I viewed K5 for the first time last night with my 15x70 binos, it was very faint but I thought I detected a tail, your image confirms that I had seen it.
Great image Lester, hope to see more.

Thanks Barb and David, it is good to even have a faint comet with a tail. All the best.

Nice image Lester, nice to see a well defined tail too.

That's an excellent shot. I'm still to view it. Cloudy here with showers prevents me setting anything up.

Thanks Paul and Kevin for your comments. I agree Paul a comet with tail gets me excited again. This image is 3x2 minute exposures stacked on the comet and stars in DSS. First time I have used this option and seems to work well.

Great image Lester. This comet is a nice object to view at the eyepiece. The tail is easy to see under dark skies.

Nice work Lester, good to see you taking comet images again :) I just checked my all sky shot from last Sunday and found the little comet in one of the 14mm panels. No tail, but a blob nonetheless :)

Thanks Stu and Colin for your comments. It seems as comets grow tails, so does my excitement for them. Last night I observed this comet easily with elongation in 4" refractor. All the best.
