A friend of mine fried this box (like the one on the picture attached below) by connecting 12V (max 6V is allowed).
Let me know if there is one lying around and not used any more, I would like to buy it.
Thanks!

Hi, bojan

If only the chip is damaged, not the circuit. Can change the chip...

Can you let me know where I can get the processor chip?

Didn't click submit just now. :mad2:

It might not be the first choice, I only point out a method.

Normally, open the box, there is a label on the chip if it was not damaged too much, and most are AT89C2051 which can be found from an electronic shop or online shops. However the new one is empty, have to program it as the original chip. I have no idea about the circuit damage because don’t know how find which electronic part is broken, a capacitor or a transistor etc, although all of these could be replaced with new ones theoretically. So the total cost might not that low, but it will be very convenient if it happened again.

I changed once, however last time my EQ3 controller was broken probably due to the overvoltage...I haven't fixed it so far because not only the chip damaged. I have to say I’m still learning about this as I have no integrated circuit knowledge. Have to find out where is the problem. And at the same time I bought a new controller.

If yours only the chip is fried, I might be able to help you fix it...

Just seen this - not sure if it's still wanted? Pretty sure I've got a brand new one stashed away somewhere that was a left-over, never been used.
