Clear skies once gain in Melbourne last night so I thought I would try and track down Comet C/2012 (Linear) using my Andrews 15x70 Ultra binos.
Took quite some time to pinpoint it but I was really thrilled when it came into view. :D

It's very faint at the moment and I am not sure how to describe the size other than to say it appears to be approximately the same as viewing NGC5128 in the 4.24 FOV of the 15X70's.
Its position at the moment is close to NGC1746 OC in Taurus.

Great to hear Barb!!

I have had a couple of looks at this one, including Saturday night. Pretty little thing but is fading slightly now, so well caught.

You must have a dark sky at YJ! I tried to find it tonight in binoculars (10 x 50) but could not see it.

However, I did point my scope at the coords given on the CalSky website, and still could not see it, so took a 30 sec exposure on my DSLR and there it was! Successive frames show quite rapid movement through the star field.

Chris I tried again last night but I couldn't see it. Decided to search for F6 Lemmon which rises in Centaurus and comes into view here about 11pm.
So glad I did it's considerably brighter than K5 and easy to find in the 15x70's.
