What was that?

Hello! i was driving home from Geelong today (5/01/13) at around nine o'clock and something caught my eye, it was a very bright object zooming through the sky. it was not a plane and it zoomed through Taurus and finished in the deep south horizon. The time was 9:11PM. Just wondering if anyone else saw this and if they could, tell me what it was? Thanks! :)

Are you sure, because id say it would be second in brightness to sirius, brighter than canopus.

Hi, Looks like
it was the ISS.
I read on another thread that the ISS went over last night and was very bright.
Maybe check the NASA site for the details of the ISS.
