Hi there,

So I live on the north side of Brisbane and I am in search of some nice Dark sky locations. I know traveling out west is the most ideal. But are there any spots that don't involve traveling hours to get too? I know it wont be as good as heading out west somewhere but somewhat darker then what I currently have would be great.

Thanks

Keep checking the Star Parties section of the forums Steve.
Ron Knight (Astroron) opens his observatory most new moon nights for visitors to bring their scopes and get some observing done.
He is at Kenilworth.

Thanks for those responses guys! Will check that link out now. I actually drove out to North Pine Dam the other night, not too far away from where I live and was suprised at how many more stars I could see even this short distance away. Will have to take the scope out next cloudless night I am able too. Cheers
