Meade LX90 8" UHTC - ACT

Up for sale is my 8yr old Meade LX90 LNT 8" UHTC. Purchased in 2005 from Bintel, unfortunately I just don't have the time required to make good use of it. In the past 8years it would have been used less then 20times. Still have the original box which it spends 99% of the time in.

The scope came with the LNT device but the screen broke early on and I found it easier without the unit anyway so I removed it. Still have it in the box though.

Sale includes:

Meade LX90 LNT 8" UHTC
Autostar (with latest firmware)
Original Meade heavy duty field tripod
Meade finderscope
1 x Meade Eyepiece (will confrim specs when I get home in a few days)
LNT unit (screen broken)

240v power adapater (powers both scope & dew zapper)

Scope and accessories are in great condition and had minimal use.

I'm looking for $1150 for all of the above. All items are located in Canberra and available for inspection from the 7th Jan 2013. Local pickup preferred but delivery may be possible in the local ACT/NSW region.

I would be mainly interested in as a photo setup with a Canon DSLR I have. So How much would you be asking for the scope with the other stuff such as the wedge and guide camera? Not much interested in the eye pieces or the LPI camera.

Unfortunately the wedge and focal reducer have already been sold. Everything else is still available though.

Happy to sell the scope without the eyepieces etc. To be honest the eyepieces were the basic Bintel kit so they wouldn't be worth much, same goes for the LPI camera. I would happily lower the price a little though.

Unfortunately they are the last thing I want to split off. Mainly because they might help soften any interest in the scope as they give a buyer a solid base to start on. Plus if I can't sell the scope at least i can still use it with some eyepieces :P

Just checked out the mirrors. They are clean and there is no obvious growth under the naked eye nor with a flashlight. I took some photos but the camera struggled the get focus on the mirror. I can try more and email them through if anyone wishes (PM me your details).

I can also set the scope up and take some photos through it as i still have the t-adapter. If anyone has a target recommendation that would help determine the state of the optics please let me know.
