Hi there!

Here is my latest (and possibly best so far) Jupiter image.

Taken with a DMK 41AU02.AS (no filter). 1500 frames were captured and stacked in Avistack 2. Interestingly the capture report says that the frame rate was only 8 fps. The shutter speed was 30.90 ms.

Better seeing should hopefully bring more detail.

Thanks for looking.

Eric

Thanks John. I have a long way to go before I can image Jupiter like you though ;)

Hi again Eric. Well I must admit, the 41 is not the most ideal camera to use for planets, but It's also a very versatile camera for nice wide field imaging of the moon or Sol. I'm sure if the planet imaging passion gets overwhelming, you'll pull the trigger on a camera more suitable.

What was your image scale on this, as a matter of interest?

Hi John. Lately, I have been thinking that I should also get a DMK21 or DBK21. It would help improve my imaging.

The image scale was 100% (if it's what you mean).

Cheers,

Eric
