Jupiter take 2
12" goto dobbie, 2.5x barlow with neximage camera
Had a good night for viewing Jupiter.
All stacked in registax
Will try autostakker when i get the chance.
Have recently purchased a second-hand 5" SCT, just to see if the bug would bite. I pulled it out last night to view Jupiter and this is pretty much what I saw (ok not so good), along with the moons. Was wishing for a bigger scope right then.

Great job Paula! I think I have a preference for the first one.
Your using a 12" with a x2.5 PM. I am using a 10 " with the same PM, yet there is a big difference in the size of Jupiter's disc between you pictures and mine. Are your 100%?
Cheers,
Eric

Thanks Eric, I don't know if there is a difference between a powermate and a barlow? I also used drizzle in the processing in registax.
EDIT: Just remembered the 4th image is without a barlow ! and the other 3 are with the barlow and drizzle.

Looks great... I tried to image Jupiter on the 3rd Jan, about 23:30 but either Jiter was too low in the horizon or atmospheric conditions were horrible... Or both, and I only saw slight banding... Nothing like a couple of weeks ago... So I gave up on Jupiter.
