The topic this month is: "Rural."
This thread is only for posting your entry and any comments you'd like to make about your own photo.
If you would like to comment on other entries please use the comments thread.
As usual, one entry per person and the image must be your own work.
Normal forum rules and image size applies.
The image doesn't necessarily have to have been taken this month but we do encourage you to go out and enjoy the challenge.
The winner of the poll, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic and have their photo posted in our "Photo Challenge Hall of Fame" thread.
Good luck and good shooting.

Taken today on a flying trip to Cumnock to deliver the girls to a horse event for the week.
Along the road between Molong and Cumnock are a series of bush sculptures and paddock art (see www.animalsonbikes.com.au). This one particularly tickled my fancy... and I liked the tank stand!;)
Worth a little venture off the main highway if you are travelling between Orange and Dubbo. You don't need kids, but they'll enjoy it too!:lol:

Thought I'd change my entry,today-I helped out branding and sorting calves, one of the men on the property was over come by the fierce heat,so I pitched in,no need for gyms in the country doing this work.I had the Canon G12 and took this image-all the dust made for great atmos. The higher res looks much sharper than this lower res,but I like the lighting over my previous submission.

This is my Uncle John with his "pets" on his farm at Dalgetty NSW near Cooma.
His cattle are Highland LongHair and are the cutest cows in the world according to John.

I took a series of these farmscapes on a farm in South Australia when I was down there on a commercial shoot. It was hard to pick just one as they work better together showing the different colours of the different fields but I chose this one because I like the simplicity of the image and the beautiful contrasting colours :)

A late afternoon at Dunedoo NSW with some Cockatoo's in a tree about 1 Kilometer away from where we were staying.
The other night we had a bout of freezing fog which made everything look a bit pretty so I snapped this when I got the chance.
