Watched a bit of "can't stop the music"
Why would they put that on"? One of the worst movies ever? I would have prefered to sit outside but it was raining....wet season

You'd pass up one of the 20th centuries sexiest women? Maybe you'd like something more Apocalyptic like Slaughter house 5?

If you have a problem with the topic..don't read it or even better PM the moderators. Who are you to decide what should be in this forum, if it is offensive then by all means use the correct method to report it to the moderators.

There was another one on last night. Moulin Rouge. What a weird movie that was. Mrs fly and her friend said 'it's good. Lets watch it". Needless to say, they were wrong!

How about Santa Clause versus the Martians? I missed it this year but I'm sure it was shown. It's the only time I've ever heard him called Santi Clause - all the way through the theme song.

And it's almost IIS related ;)

Sitting in the rain would still have been better. At least you'd still have nozzles to smack.

I stupidly sat and watched 1/2 hr's worth thinking "this surely this will start improving any moment now...". It didn't. I was sober too! The first half hour of the new year blown away with this... I hope it's not an omen!

I saw that drivel last night too in between looking up at the clouds (and the occasional glimpse of Orion and the Moon) and sipping on my Wormwood infused vodka (funny I did not see fairies at the bottom of the garden...)

Everyone else was dancing or nattering. I was enjoying the cool breeze and my wife sitting on my lap.

BTW, no one is asking anyone to read, let alone post a comment here. Why run someone down for it on a general chat forum??? This place really is becoming uppity lately - must be the summer skies killing the astronomy. Just relax and take time to be friendly.

You're either a fan of Baz Luhrmann's work or you are not...I am not sure if there is anything in between. I find Moulin Rouge an interesting piece of work.

I ended up watching all the episodes on the DVD When We Left Earth.

Channel hopping - The most entertaining feature last night was "Dinner for One" on SBS after the news. Around 11 went down to the waterside to watch fireworks, ride the Ferris Wheel and get stuck in carpark traffic for an hour afterwards. Much better than TV.

Babicka? The ancient Czech witches brew? I've never had it, but my sophisticated friend has, and absinthe too. They put his health insurance premium up.

CHEERS !!

Yup.

It's simply DIVINE!

I'd NEVER mixed Vodka before, but I put it with dry last night on the rocks. MORE, PLEASE!

And yes, I COULD notice the effect from the thujone.

If you want to treat yourself to some truly woeful movies, tune in to TVS. They have a regular thing called the "Shlocky Horror Picture Show" showing C grade horror movies. It's so bad it's funny :). One of the last ones I saw was "The Wasp Woman (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054462/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3)".
