View Full Version here: : [NOT REQUIRED] SCT focuser
I'm hoping someone who has upgraded the focuser on their SCT still has the old standard one laying around collecting dust and willing to part with it for a fair price. Thanks Cam.

The majority of SCTs achieve focus by moving the main mirror. This is built inside the telescope body and is not detachable from the rest of the telescope.
Did you mean something like the Meade Microfocuser ? Or a Crayford focuser with an SCT thread ?

Oh ok. Thanks Tony. Now Im not really sure what I want
I want to do the stage 2 PST mod and needed some way of focusing it. The rear of the PST etalon is pretty close to the SCT thread

Hi Cam,
You might wish to post a topic in the main forum, equipment discussions.
The Meade micro focuser might be what you want. But the solar telescope people would know what is best. Merlin 66 has a post or three on the subject.

The crew will give you pointers in the right direction.
