I've noticed that there are plenty of sci-fi movies to be released next year, lovers of this gender will be spoilt for choices, among them:

Cloud Atlas, based on the book of the same name, seems to be a very complicated story and I wonder what kind of movie is going to be. Directed by the Wachowskis (I can't call them brothers anymore). Here is the theatrical trailer:

After Earth: with Will Smith and son, Jayden. This one looks interesting, looks something like Planet of the Apes (going back to an alternate Earth?). Here is the trailer:

Pacific Rim: I have bad feelings for this movie, it looks too much like a mix of Godzila and Battleship, with a little bit of Transformers in the mix. The good thing is that is directed by the talented Guillermo del Toro.

Elysium:Starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley, this promises to be epic, I haven't seem any proper trailer yet, but it's expected to be released in August 2013. Directed by the guy who created District 9.

Oblivion: This one is starred by Tom Cruise and Olga Kurylenko, another interesting story about a not so distant future, to be released in April 2013.

Gravity: directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starred by George Cloney and Sandra Bullock. This is about two astronauts who survive the destruction of their space station and are left spiralling out into the blackness of space. Interesting!. No date has been confirmed yet but it is expected to be released next year. At this point they haven't released a theatrical trailer.

Of course, there is also the new Star Trek: Into Darkness to be realeased probably around june.

I want to see all of them!

I think that's (an unusually good) fan-made trailer alas Trevor. Shame - that was an awesome novel as I recall :(

Good list, looking forward to seeing all of them.
Gender? I wonder if you mean Genre?

That fan has done well to get Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley on-board then ;)

Joking aside, you are right ofcourse, the trailer is fan-made.
Though the good news is the movie will indeed be released in 2013, just won't look much like the linked trailer ;)

Thought as much when I noticed the opening spaceships where from "Starship Troopers" but the movie is scheduled for release in 2013

ha ha!....sorry MrB, that was a mistake! (I was thinking in Spanish, where gender and genre are the same word with different meanings).

RobF, I knew I was forgetting something, I also want to see Ender's Game, I haven't seem any official trailer yet.

Edge of Tomorrow (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1631867/)

A fun and inventive story that treats its audience with genuine respect.

Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Brendan Gleeson, and Bill Paxton all turn in first-rate performances.

Easily the best movie I've watched in years.
