Omega Centauri some improvement

Hello

I took a quick shot of Omega C tonight and i think I can see some improvements over my first on ethat I posted a little while back.

20second exposure only, ISO 3200 on EOS 20Da, C9.25 F10 (wish the mailman would hurry up with that focal reducer...). Some photoshop and noiseware (but i find neither PS or NW made much difference this time on Omega).
I attach the old one from may 6th and the new one, May 19th...in case noone else could see the difference I made sure they had a small caption/label at the bottom of each pic to tell them apart.

Hi Spearo,

The challenge is to improve, which you are doing.

The smaller star images in the second one is good.

Perhaps a filter to stop star bloat at longer exposure will help. I am sure many here on IIS will be able to help in this area. I am only guessing but a Ir/Uv cut filter may be the answer.

Well done it's a great improvement, I agree the new one is better, the stars are tighter and detail is great for 20 sec exp.
When you get the F.Reducer, next time go a bit longer and drop the ISO, it should improve even more.

Nice work Frank.

Sharper stars and less drift but you shouldn't get any drift with only 20seconds.

I agree with the others...lower ISO and slightly longer exposures...with the Omega Cent you dont need the exposures to be long but around 1 minute would be the go.

And next time center the target properly...lol

Not sure why I'm struggling with the drift align so much (the fact that i dont really know what I'm doing doesnt help ! :] )
I'll get there eventually!

Frank I was just like you...I got Paul(1Ponders) to come down from nambour to help with my Drift align...once I saw how to do drift aligning it was made easy.

Take John up on his offer and good on ya John.

I too like to see it done and learn alot quicker instead of looking through and reading some instruction book or manual on how it's done.
