hi Matt, i wouldn't mind to get myself into more planet work. check pm.
My understanding from Mike is that it has the same CCD chip but not the same chipset. Sounds like that affects the way it processes and treats data.
DaveP is also of the opinion it doesn't offer the same performance as the ToUcam.
I must say it does appear to outperfrom the NexImage.
Rob T has also shifted to a Phillips.
???
Just so everyone's aware. This hasn't sold yet.
Still taking offers.
People are asking what it comes with. Well, everything you'll need to start imaging straight out of the box.
It comes with it's own capture software "AmCap" but can be operated with K3CCDTools and other capture software.
The 1.25" adaptor is fitted as standard and takes filters.
It has a usb cable permanently attached which plugs straight into your lappy.

OK
Looks like I'll have to put a price on this to get the ball rolling.
These sell new for anywhere between $220 and $260...
I've only had mine 6 months. Is in mint condition and is in original box. Comes with everything.
I'm asking $150.
Very affordable way to get into astro imaging.

Great buy Leon,
Neximage is great.
OK guys ... mods (please resurrect from the archives?)...
Seems some of our more learned members managed to change Leon's mind after the deal had been agreed on. Thanks for that....
So the NexImage is still up for grabs.
$130 ... and the whole shebang's yours.

Its a pity I already have one. I am sure someone will snap it up.
Asi was a bit keen, but I think he is going to try something else.
No worries Lester
Yeah. I'm sure it'll sell. Even if I have to take it to E-Bay etc
Cheers mate.

G'Day Matt,
Pity you didn't "batter" with me when I offered you $100 straight off, when you first posted the sale, I would have went to $130 even though one sold for $100 on here a few days before :)
NightSky
"Batter" with you. That can still be arranged, if you insist:lol:
Mate. I simply couldn't be bothered. The price was reasonable and I was happy with where it was set.
Pity you didn't up your offer straight away when I indicated $100 was too low. Perhaps you could have initiated the "bartering" process? Keep in mind I'm the one who owns the item. I'll set the price where I think it's fair and reasonable... and we'll take it from there. But you didn't come back at me with a revised offer?
Also keep in mind this item was "up for grabs" for several days. There were opportunities to jump in and buy it.
And if someone wants to flog their cam off for $100 or any other Bargain Basement price, well that's their decision... but I'm not bound by that nor should you use that as a pricing yardstick.
Good luck ... and happy battering!
Cheers:)

G'Day Matt,
I don't want to get into a war of words with you, lets just say you wanted $150 plus postage,I offered $100 plus postage, from that moment on the ball is in your court, and as far as the "pricing yard stick" goes we all use that as a base, ie what the going price is at the time. The fact that it was still for sale or as you put "up for grabs for several days" must have ring a few bells. lets leave it at that. and as the Yanks say"You have a nice day" ;)
Good Luck
NightSky
If you don't want to get into a war of words, don't keep posting:shrug:
Yes... i originally wanted $150... you offered $100. I told you that was too low.
I then publically, through the forum, adjusted my price for all to see, including YOU, and someone else beat you to it.
I don't see what I've done wrong here other than not keep you privately, personally abreast of my every move on the sale of MY camera.
I am under no obligation to "haggle" or "barter" with you. Period!
I graciously declined your offer (I have kept our PM exchanges which show I made it quite clear I was seeking a higher price) and continued to sell through the forum, giving everyone a chance to view my pricing adjustments.
And again, I'm the one setting the price of what I'm selling, not you.
You didn't get back to me with an offer closer to what I was happy with ... so I continued through the forum. The cam sold in a couple of days. No alarm bells ringing whatsoever... and for a few $$$ below the original asking price.
I'm happy ... the buyer is happy ... we're all happy ... except you
Now that is case closed.
Good luck yourself!
