Hi all.
Here's some more shots from yesterday morning. This batch centered around the wharf.
The third attachment is my favourite of these - it has just the right mood I was after, and is a very good depiction of what it looked and felt like at the time.
All similar exposures to the others, ranging from 10-20 seconds at ISO100 or ISO200, with the lens stopped down to f/22.
Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
Nice shots Mike, looks like you got just as many clouds as we have down here in Ballarat......

Really atmospheric, moody shots mike  good stuff.
My fave is the first one. The light, composition and colour are just right.

Very nice Mike!
Is it just an optical illusion?... Your landscape format shot looks 3:2 aspect ratio, but you portrait format ones look taller and narrower. Did you do any cropping?
I like the longer narrower look.

I think it's an optical illusion because the resolution we run our screens at is different.
Some were cropped a little, but not enough to make it look like it does. I get that impression soon sometimes too, Al.
But it's just the camera turned on it's side so it should be no different :)
Thanks for the comments.

The last of the shots from that morning..
not all frames are created equal? this could be the reason some look narrower?
very nice shots mike :)

Here's a re-worked version of the 3rd attachment in the original post.
I think it's a much better result.
This is my favourite of the bunch posted in this thread.
