Hi,

Wanted to try this one with the ED80, I'm surprised how much it pulled out. There is a problem with the dark frames I used, it left little black flecks through the image.

Equipment.

Skywatcher ED80, orion mini guider, orion field flattener, HEQ pro 5 mount.
Unmodded canon 1100D, 8 minute subs at iso 800, total 64 minutes.
Darks, flats and bias frames applied.
Stacked in DSS and processed in PS7.

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Laurie!

Thanks Martin!

Nice to know it's ok, sometimes I wonder.

Justin.

Nice work. The black flecks sounds like the dark frames are indeed working properly. They're dark because the thermal noise and hot pixels is subtracted from the light frames. The bane of summer imaging with DSLRs!
