I actually like the Apple Maps, I know others don't, so they should be happy to hear that Google Maps is now on the app store for iOS6 and seems to do what it should.
All GPS map software has its failings, so having a choice is a good thing, there is TomTom available (for purchase) as well, the blokes at work swear by it.
