The best of a few quick registaxed avies from Saturday night at mapleton. All taken with Meade LX200 8" with ToUcam. The soft angellic appearance comes from a good coating of dew on the corrector plate.

My apologise for the brevity. Just about to go out and and thought I'd better post these before I went. Didn't I here some one yell "More Pictures!"?

Good one Paul :)
What time did you get those last night
& Have you bought your "Supercheap" hair dryer yet ?
You had to be at the "North of the border" iceinspace star party to know how important the "Hairdryer" is:confuse3:
BTW who knows which moon of Jupiter was in the Image ?

Thanks everyone. Mike the colour comes from dropping the colour sliders in reg3 and lowering the contrast, increasing the brightness and just a touch of adjustment on the histograms. BTW the top 2 images was done with Comet Hunter's 3X teleview barlow first. It was pushing the limit of seeing as well as dew. The other one was taken with 2X Celestron Omni barlow. Jupiter was taken using the Celestron. In both situations the barlow was before the star diagnal.
I've tried three autopart stockists (enven supercheap) on the coast today and no one carries them. There may be a place in Brisvagus, but if anyone knows where to get one give me a yell. It's a must have:(
Just checked Jupiter2 Ian and it would have to have been Callisto.

Paul,
off track here, but why not build a dew heater, seems all SCT owners (and the Mak types as well) need to address this. I did.
Gary
P.S. Maybe time for a new thread Mike????

Electronics, hmmm. Does the purple wire get twisted to the yellow spotted one or the pink striped one. Does that answer your question Gary. :D I'm about as good at building electronic stuff as I would be at giving birth:P Hell I even muck up putting batteries in tourches. Well....maybe not quite but close.
But I have thought about a dew heater but I've not needed one up until last night. I'm open to suggestions.
OK. I'll start a new thread on it.
