My first ever deep sky image!!!

Hey guys, first of all, you have no idea what it feels like to take a picture with an imaging camera made by myself, this is my first ever deep sky photo and i cried when i realized i could see the gas clouds surrounding the stars.

I bet some of you have had your moment when you took your fist photo, mine will be a memory with me until i die!

aww bless! thats great sean!
try getting ten of exactly the same and download "deep sky stacker" for free and sandwich them all together and then you are really going to see some fireworks!

Hi Sean,

Yes its a great feelling isn't it. All thou mine was with a bought ccd. As pat says, take more shots and it you can, take longer exposures if possible.

I'll have to try to find my first ever astrophotograph - a really shocking rendition of Orion with horrible lack of any detail, colour or anything :)

Yeaaa, i guess it is! haha, ill be taking it out again tonight, because it seems to work like a professional ccd camera!
