I managed to get out under the sun before the clouds rolled in this am

Here's a first pic - an active region somewhere. I must learn how to identify them.

Lunt B180 with DMK41 camera and 2x shorty plus barlow. Stacked and wavelets applied with Registax.

Nicely done Pete, the weather here is Sydney at the moment too unstable with winds. May I suggest tweaking up the contrast?

Also I note some vertical line artifacts, not sure if this is a registax issue, or lack of stacked frames or compression effects for the 200kb upload limit. It might also be worth running it through avistack or autostakkert.

I'll download autostakert and give it a go. I've been meaning to do so for a while now

How many images did you stack in Registax? You may need to stack more??

Good one Pete I try to capture at least 1000 images and stack about 10% to try and get rid of artefacts and then adjust the sliders enough so that noise is minimal. sometimes a slightly smoother shot looks better.
