Hi IIS,
Had a quick session this afternoon just before the Sun set behind my front fence. The large prom was calling.
Lunt60 and DMK51, processed in Registax.

Great images Matt. The prominence shows up really well, and I like the detail on the other full disc.
Good that you managed to get a session in before sunset. You should consider moving down here, with Daylight Saving we get an extra hour for solar imaging during summer!

Tremendous shot Matt
How do you get such a crisp shot in the afternoon? I find that if I get started any time after about 11am the sun seems to boil too much to generate anything useful?

Hi Pete,
I take what I can get - conditions here in Brisbane are usually poor - so one thing about low mag imaging is that you can get quite good discs if you do not blow the images up - I always reduce the actual image to 75% for posting. The equipment is also a huge plus - the LS60 is awesome and the DMK51 is a great match.
Thanks for posting!
