For those with solar scopes, there is a huge looping prominence forming on the limb right now 948am, thursday. Worth a look.

I've got painters and builders crawling all over the place...and it's cloudy here at Maribyrnong anyway...bumma.
Dam it i just got home from work I always miss these :shrug:

Hi Paul - thanks for the heads up - I got home from work at about 4pm and saw your post and got in a handful of AVI's before I lost it - a nice view indeed.

And in a first for amateur astronomy...At 1025 postie arrived with a new eye-piece (thanks Morton). At 1025 + 5 seconds (couldn't wait for first light tonight) the EP is attached to my Lunt and there was the magnificent prominence. :thumbsup:
This probably means that Central Queensland is going to suffer with a prolonged wet season. Sorry :rofl:
