White light Sun this morning. Some high level cloud and haze. ED80, GSO ED barlow, Orion glass solar filter, Pentax K-x, 2 x 1/125th second at ISO 200. My first astro pic using the new HEQ5 pro mount.
Not many spots to be seen for a solar cycle peak.

Nice and sharp, Kevin.
If you don't mind me asking how do you go about achieving focus?
I've had trouble getting sharp focus through my Orion full-aperture glass filter using both Pentax K10 & K-5.

I have problems also. It's a bit hit and miss because I find it's too bright to use liveview so I use the internal viewfinder. I take a couple of shots, refocus, take another couple etc and choose the best ones later at the computer.
If there's a better way I would like to know.

Ok glad to hear it's not just me that struggles with focusing.
I appreciate the tips and I will give that a go.
