Full Moon rising over Brisbane, from Mt Coot-tha

Hi all,

Here's tonight's Moon rising over the Gabba cricket ground in Brisbane. Both taken with the 70-200 telephoto, and the secong is a stack of images taken 3 minutes apart.

I also captured a jet passing in front of the Moon, which I've posted here.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice work Stephen, I bet it was a tad cool out there last night!

Cheers

Dennis

PS – I’d send that lens back to Canon – look at how it’s distorted the Moon in the 1st frame!

Thanks Dennis! It was a bit cool up there, but I was busy with the camera so didn't notice it too much.

congrats on your image being IOTW.
Isn't it great when the conditions are just right? The anticipation of what could be captured is so addictive

WOW!!! That looks amazing! I happen to be in Brisbane Friday night and must admit the moon was striking and sky was very clear, you've captured it beautifully.
