I'm chiming in pretty late here but I think each image has its good points. I like the stars better on the old one and the overall colour on the new one.

In any case they are both quality Lagoon images.

There is a lot of drama to the first image, the second is softer, which makes it my personal favourite.
But when it comes down to tin tacks, the big "M's" have all been done to death and any new way of interpreting and processing the data is welcome .
