My 9 hour Triffid.

Hi,

I have got more data in this great weather on the Sunshine Coast so thought I would have a red hot go at this both imaging and processing. 108 x 5 minute subs ISO 800 Canon 400d with darks, flats and bias frames taken over two nights.

W/O Flt 110 stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop. I have included first image full frame, second slightly cropped to centre neb and third neb mostly. Advice/criticism welcome.

Mark

A good photo Mark.

I like the colours and detail.

Nice composition also.

Ross.

It's a cool shot Mark. Great data. Need to repro though. Try a little more saturation and watch out for the stellar profiles. Your star are white clipped and your shadows/mid tones have lost their dynamic range. It seems compressed. If I had to guess I'd say a Shadow/Highlight tool in pS or similar. I reckon you have a corker in the making there. Worht spending a little time on it and play around.

Yep yep, What Marc said.

You've got great data. I'd love to see it to it's full potential.

Hell at this stage of the game I'd be happy if I got a little red splodge. Fine effort.
