Solar Filter or Dedicated Scope

Would a Coronado SolarMax II 60 H-Alpha Filter with BF10 fitted on to a Takahashi FS-78 perform as well as a dedicated SolarMax II 60 H-Alpha Solar [<0.7A Telescope - BF10]?

I recommend you visit the Solar Scope Modifications forum on Stephen Ramsden's Charlie Bates Solar Outreach Project Solar Chat Forums at:

Other options

Hi Hans,

Maybe also look at the Lunt offerings (www.luntsolarsystems.com). I ended up buying a Lunt unit over the Coronado as I thought it was a better made unit for what I was doing.

Just a thought.

BTW, I'm very happy with my Lunt, and the pre/after sales support from them.

Rob
