Titan mount: I've ordered one

Well after reading various user reports worldwide about this mount, I've gone and spent the wife's budget. Oh, she knows about it, but it was case of.. "Well dear, you've always wanted a Titan in your backyard, so I bought one..." After copping dead silence and no dinner, it appears she was referring to the football team on the Gold Coast and not a telescope mount. Why can't wives understand that a Titan (mount) is BIG and STRONG.. .

Any reason you chose Titan over Paramount MX?

Price and availability. Apparently, the Bisques have a 5-6 month wait time. Losmandy have a 1-2 month waiting time. I already have a GT1100 which has been giving me some motor issues which can not be replaced.

LOL... mate, I have so many cameras lying around the place another will not attract. But then, wives have this weird sense that something is new and has to be found. Got any idea how to disguise a Canon D60a as something else?

Your GT-1100 is something like 14 years old now but you don't have the patience to wait an extra four months or so for an MX? Oh man, I hope you don't regret this down the road...

The MX is a scaled down version of the ME and my payload (45kgs) is more than what that mount can take. Besides, I was given a damn good price on the Titan as well as the turnaround with its newer, higher torque motors.
