Woaw !! we have a beautiful night up here tonight and have just finished a nice time outside looking at the Moon , Jupiter and Venus , really nice
But thats not what this thread is about , not withstanding the beauty of the conjunction in the west .
No , what I had forgotten is in the east
. the red planet Mars , WOAW !!! again , I have my new 90mm f5.5 LP APO on mars now and I had forgotten just how bright and RED !!
he is , just awsome ! .
I have my new 4mm Lanthium and 2x Celestron Ultima giving 225x and the view is the best I have ever seen in a small scope , super sharp , dark markings and a hint of a polar cap .. ( I think ? ) , And zero colour , nice.
What a combo . just carry the scope , mount and all out side and view ..
I am all dimp'ed up now and heading back out as mars rises higher , I can see a late night comming on , the first one in months , because of the wet season .
