For those of us who don't have a Celestron 8" Starhopper a photo of the problem might help the ATMers suggest a solution.
I am assuming that you need to either raise or lower the secondary holder? Can this be done by replacing a bolt with a longer/shorter bolt?
I built my own secondary holder out of timber...

Then new one is a 2" with 1.25" adapter so after enlarging the hole in the OTA my secondary mirror isnt exactly centred. The Celestron 8" Starhopper its on has a single stalk secondary holder.
