California Nebula NB

This is my first go at doing a multi-panel image. This one probably deserves 4 panels to give it a bit of breathing space. Each of the two panels contains eleven 20 minute exposures in Ha.

There is a larger version here.

Nice capture & seamlessly put together especially for your first mosaic!
This one is a definite tree scraper for me, wouldn't even clear my observatory aperture...

What scope and camera were you using?
Nice to see a sthrn hemer get it down.
Colour coming?

Rich

Thanks guys!! I was happy with it as there was an issue while I was taking the frames that lead to there being less data in the over lap than I expected but it all worked out in the end. For the next one I will be making sure there is more over lap.

The image was taking from Thailand (that answers Mike's question) so in a better part of the sky than in Australia.

Rich it was taken with a WO FLT110 and my QHY9. I don't know if I will get around to adding any colour this year.
